Albert Einstein a demonstrat teoretic ca efectul \u201efotoelectric\u201d, produs atunci cand o lumina ultravioleta atinge o suprafata metalica, provocand o emisie de electroni, inseamna ca lumina, despre care se credea pana atunci ca este o unda, este in acelasi timp si un flux de particule.
